ASHRAE Dallas 2019-2020 Technology Award Winner

During the January 2020 ASHRAE Dallas Board of Governors meeting, chapter leaders voted to approve the winner of the 2019-2020 building technology award.

The board selected RWB Consulting Engineers to win the award in the New Construction - Educational Facilities Category for their project, Ray Braswell High School

Braswell High School features a ground source heat pump system with over 1,100 wells serving 239 heat pumps throughout the building. The centralized geothermal design includes pumps in parallel for redundancy. Three-way valves installed at the extremity of each lunch ensure proper water flow and temperature during operation.

RWB Consulting Engineers wins the Technology Award with their innovative design at Ray Braswell High School

As the winner of our chapter competition, this project will move forward to the regional competition. The winner of the Region VIII technology award will be announced in April during the Chapter Regional Conference.

We will present RWB with a plaque during our February meeting. Please join us in recognizing this achievement!
